COMPATIBILITY

What each printer can actually do.

PrintStash talks to printers through providers, not printer models. Find the provider your machine speaks, then read down its column. This is what is implemented today, not what is aspirational.

CAPABILITY MATRIX

Provider by capability.

Beta means shipped and usable, pending broader hardware validation. Every provider declares these capabilities itself, so the app disables what your printer cannot do.

Capability Moonraker / Klipper STABLE PrusaLink BETA OctoPrint BETA Bambu Lab LAN BETA Elegoo Centauri BETA
Live status Temperatures, progress, and state, streamed to the dashboard. Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
Pause / resume / cancel Control a running print from PrintStash. Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
Start a print Kick off a print from PrintStash. Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
Upload from vault Push a G-code revision to the printer. Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
Printer file inventory List and delete files stored on the printer. Yes Yes Yes No No
Raw G-code & emergency stop Send arbitrary G-code to the machine. Yes No No No No
Measured filament consumption Real grams captured from the print, for true per-print cost. Yes No No No No
Measured print duration Elapsed print time read back from the printer instead of the slicer estimate. Yes Yes Yes No Yes
Loaded material sync Loaded material and nozzle read from the printer for send preflight. Manual entry works on any printer. Yes No No Yes No
  • STABLE Moonraker / Klipper Full control. The reference provider, and what the Elegoo Neptune 4 preset runs on.
  • BETA PrusaLink Local Prusa, no Prusa Connect cloud. Digest login or legacy API key.
  • BETA OctoPrint Any OctoPrint / OctoPi instance, connected with an API key.
  • BETA Bambu Lab LAN Upload and start over the local network. No file inventory.
  • BETA Elegoo Centauri Carbon over SDCP, Carbon 2 over local MQTT. Upload is beta; file inventory is unavailable.
FIND YOUR PRINTER

Which provider do I use?

Printers are grouped by the interface they expose, so a machine's own firmware decides the column, not its brand.

  • Voron, Ratrig, and other Klipper builds Moonraker STABLE
  • Creality / Sovol running Klipper Moonraker STABLE
  • Elegoo Neptune 4, Pro, Plus, Max Moonraker STABLE
  • Prusa MK4 / XL on stock firmware PrusaLink BETA
  • Anything already behind OctoPrint OctoPrint BETA
  • Bambu Lab X1, P1, A1 (LAN mode on) Bambu LAN BETA
  • Elegoo Centauri Carbon / Carbon 2 Elegoo BETA
THE FINE PRINT

Honest caveats.

  • Bambu needs LAN mode on, with the printer's access code and serial. Cloud-only accounts are not supported. Starting a print is opt-in per send, and the printer must report idle first.
  • Elegoo Centauri upload is beta. The original Carbon path has a partial hardware smoke; Carbon 2 upload still needs a hardware report. File inventory and deletion remain disabled on both.
  • Measured per-print filament and cost come from Moonraker only; the others fall back to the slicer's estimate. Measured elapsed duration is separate and comes back from PrusaLink, OctoPrint, and Elegoo Centauri too, though only Moonraker's has been checked against real prints.
  • Loaded material syncs automatically from Moonraker's active Spoolman spool and from a Bambu AMS, per printer and only when you enable it. Every other provider takes the material you enter by hand, and send preflight warns on a mismatch rather than blocking it.
  • PrintStash does not replace Fluidd, Mainsail, or OctoPrint. It runs alongside them.
  • Providers are validated against the interface, not against every printer model. A printer that speaks Moonraker works, whoever built it.

HARDWARE REPORT

Something different on your printer?

Tell us what hardware and firmware you tested. Your report opens as a prefilled GitHub issue so maintainers can ask follow-up questions, track the fix, and keep the result public.

Safe by design. Nothing is submitted from this site. Review the issue on GitHub before publishing, and remove serial numbers, access codes, IP addresses, or API keys.
